PRIVACY POLICY ON THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL DATA


As part of its activities, the French Water Partnership (hereinafter the "FWP") makes available to users (hereinafter the "User"), namely any Internet user who registers and subsequently connects to the website https://water4allsdgs.org (hereinafter the "website"), an application as defined within the Legal Information (hereinafter the "Application").

The purpose of this privacy policy is to inform any user as to the terms and conditions of the processing of their personal data collected via this website and this, in accordance with the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the French Law nᵒ 78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms (hereinafter the "Legislation").

In accordance with the applicable Legislation, the FWP undertakes to ensure the protection, security and confidentiality of Users' personal data collected on the Site as well as the data of evaluations made by a User through the Application.

In this respect, it is specified that the data of the evaluations made by a User are confidential and are not accessible to other Users, with the exception of other Group Users (see Article 2 of the Terms and Conditions of Use) of the same group as his.

Users' personal data is confidential and will not be communicated to third parties under any circumstances except for the proper performance of the services defined in the Terms and Conditions of Use (T & C).

The Website ensures to any User that personal information and information related to his or her organisation and the projects, strategies and policies that he or she analyses with the Website are collected and processed in compliance with the French law n°78-17 of 6 January 1978 relating to information technology, files and freedoms.

ARTICLE 2: NATURE OF THE PERSONAL DATA COLLECTED

The FWP only collects personal data that is necessary for the purposes of its business as set out in this Policy or in the Terms and Conditions of Use (T&C).

To this end, the Site is required to collect the following personal data:

  • the information on the registration form: user name, individual password, surname, first name, organisation, country, email, acceptance of the T&C and cookies,
  • possible participation in a user group or groups.
  • the identifiers, descriptions and evaluation data of projects created by the User.


ARTICLE 3: PURPOSES OF PROCESSING PERSONAL DATA

The FWP collects personal data from the User when the User completes the registration form and evaluates projects using the Application.

The User's personal data collected on the Site are processed for the following purposes:

  • the proper functioning of the Application;
  • allow the User to amend and store their ratings while repeatedly logging on to the Site;
  • for statistical purposes;
  • enable the communication of the FWP with the Users.


ARTICLE 4: BASIS FOR THE COLLECTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The FWP processes the User's personal data in the performance of a contract, namely the Terms and Conditions of Use.

The use and processing of the User's personal data presented in this Policy is based on the User's consent to the use of his/her personal data.

The fields marked with an asterisk in the registration forms must be filled in by the User in order to be able to process his/her request or access the Application.


ARTICLE 5: RECEIVER OF PERSONAL DATA

The User's personal data is intended, unless the User has justified opposition, for the exclusive use of the operation of the Site and the Application by the FWP and its service providers.

The User's personal data shall not be transmitted or transferred by the FWP to any third party, except in the event of subsequent modification or alteration of the PDF reports produced by the Application.


ARTICLE 6: PERIOD OF RETENTION OF PERSONAL DATA

The User's personal data is kept for the time necessary to fulfil the purposes mentioned within this Policy.

All personal data is deleted when a User deletes his/her account in the "Personal Space" tab of the Application. The data of an open account may be kept for a maximum of three years from the last connection of the User to the Site. As stated in the T&C, the FWP reserves the right to delete any inactive account and the attached evaluation data after 18 months of inactivity on the Site.

Project names and descriptions and PDF reports produced by the Application are archived in anonymous form by the FWP after deletion of the User's credentials.


ARTICLE 7: USER'S RIGHT TO PERSONAL DATA

In accordance with the legislation in force, the User has several rights over his personal data defined as follows:

  • right to object to the processing of his/her Personal Data;
  • right of access to its Personal Data;
  • right to rectify his/her Personal Data;
  • right to erase his/her Personal Data;
  • right to limit the processing of his/her Personal Data;s
  • right to the portability of his Personal Data;
  • right to withdraw his consent to the processing of his Personal Data;
  • right to give instructions on what to do with their Personal Data after their death.

To do so, the User may address his request:

Any User wishing to exercise their rights must accompany their request with proof of identity.

The User also has the right to lodge a complaint with the Commission Nationale de l'Informatique et des Libertés (CNIL) regarding the processing of his/her personal data by the FWP via the website: https://www.cnil.fr/ .


ARTICLE 8: SECURITY OF PERSONAL DATA

The FWP ensures that the User's personal data is treated securely and confidentially.


ARTICLE 9. MODIFICATION OF THE POLICY

This privacy policy may be subject to change, particularly with regard to current legislation or the activity of the FWP.

These changes are binding on any User of the Site or the Application.

The FWP therefore invites any User to regularly consult the Privacy Policy in order to take note of any changes or updates made to it.
